"Beth started with LCCC this year to help shoulder the responsibility of managing our wildly diverse and varied music programming, following a faculty member resignation, and to offer expertise in vocal education and meaningful recruitment. She has excelled in this role, helping our Music programming flourish in a time in which higher education Music programs across the country are going on hiatus and or shutting down completely. She has assisted our Music faculty Frank Cook and her fellow PT music staff Andy Kropp in putting on a series of terrific, highly-regarded virtual concerts this year. In terms of her students, Beth is popular and highly respected. In the words of one of her students: Mrs. Jacobs has rich vocal experience, a stunning voice, and thorough physiological knowledge of the human voice. She explains the often-abstract characteristics of singing in a variety of logical ways. Her classes are a wealth of discovery and experimentation. Students are given direction in finding the method that works for them. And, here's another: Through her own ability and encouragement, Mrs. Jacobs makes students want to improve. With a few words of her encouragement and the pure joy of learning she exudes, I can practice for hours. I can think of no higher praise."
